The girl in the VIP section
During her debut concert at COEX Artium, Sun-Mi spots a young Tokyo-based influencer named Yasuragi in the VIP section, wavy black hair with bold white streaks, watching the performance with the focused attention of an artist studying another artist. Sun-Mi knows her from late-night scrolling: street art that layers Shinto shrine imagery over urban spray-paint, content that sits in the exact overlap of heritage and modernity Sun-Mi is performing live. What Sun-Mi cannot know is what Seol-hwa detects from the dressing room afterward: something strange around the girl: not present power, but a potential tied to the future rather than the present. An ancient Gumiho spirit has registered something significant about this ordinary human before anything extraordinary has come for her.
