1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Hollow's Edge website (“the Site”) or purchasing any digital products offered through it, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and purchasers. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The “Last updated” date above indicates when changes were last made.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account or make a purchase on this Site. By using the Site, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

The Hollow's Edge fiction series contains supernatural themes, violence, and mature subject matter consistent with the dark fantasy genre. Some content may not be suitable for younger readers.

3. Accounts

To access certain features (The Archive and The Vault), you must create a free account using a valid email address. You are responsible for:

Keeping your login credentials confidential.
All activity that occurs under your account.
Notifying us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Digital Products and Purchases

What you receive

When you purchase a digital product (ebook, short story, music track, or similar), you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and read that content for your own private, non-commercial use.

No refunds on digital goods

Due to the nature of digital downloads and in-browser access, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds on digital purchases once access has been granted or a file has been downloaded, except where required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

If you experience a technical issue with a purchase (for example, a file that cannot be opened, or access that was not granted after payment), please contact us at legal@hollows-edge.com and we will resolve it promptly.

Payment processing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's Consumer Terms.

5. Permitted Use of Content

All text, artwork, character designs, world-building, story content, and other creative works published on this Site are the intellectual property of the author and are protected by copyright. You may:

Read and enjoy the content for personal use.
Quote brief excerpts (a sentence or two) for the purpose of genuine review or discussion, provided you credit the source.
Share links to the Site or to individual pages.

You may not:

Reproduce, redistribute, or re-publish substantial portions of any text or artwork without written permission.
Sell, sub-license, or otherwise commercially exploit any content from this Site.
Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access controls, DRM, or authentication gates.
Use any content from this Site to train AI models or for automated data collection without prior written consent.
Scrape, mirror, or cache the Site in a way that places undue burden on our servers.

6. Fan Content

We love fan creativity and welcome fan fiction, fan art, and non-commercial creative works inspired by the Hollow's Edge universe, provided that:

The work is clearly labelled as fan-created and unofficial.
It is not sold or used for commercial gain.
It does not present itself as official or endorsed content.

We reserve the right to request removal of fan content that we believe misrepresents the series or its characters in a harmful way.

7. Free Content and The Archive

Certain bonus content (short stories, essays, galleries) is available through The Archive after creating a free account. Creating an account and accessing The Archive constitutes consent to receive our newsletter. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time without losing Archive access.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use this Site to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation.
Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its infrastructure.
