Operation Reports
The Ordo Velum Mundi has operated continuously since 1314, protecting the Veil, the condition of collective human ignorance that allows civilisation to function without awareness of what shares the world with it. These records document selected field operations from that history.
The OVM does not ask whether a threat is moral. It asks whether a threat is a Veil risk. The secret is the world. Everything else is negotiable.
Operation: Miasma | The Black Death Supernatural Vector

The Black Death killed between seventy-five and two hundred million people. The Fraternitas Veli had seven. What the plague produced in supernatural terms exceeded anything the Organisation had previously documented or had any capacity to address. This is not a record of containment. It is a record of institutional survival at the edge of Veil collapse.

Between 1626 and 1631, the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg executed between 157 and 300 people as witches. Sixteen were confirmed Báthory-lineage practitioners. The OVM was present throughout. The non-intervention doctrine held. This record exists because the accounting should be accurate.
Operation: Margeride | La Bête du Gévaudan

Twelve OVM operatives deployed to the Margeride plateau in the autumn of 1765. None returned. The entity responsible for over one hundred civilian deaths across the region had eliminated an entire Tier Three field team before a local civilian, operating without OVM coordination, without equipment, and without institutional support, accomplished what the organisation could not.
Operation: Nightwatch | The London Atmospheric Incident

The Great Smog of December 1952 killed thousands. A Strigoi faction used five days of near-zero visibility as operational cover for a harvest at scale. The OVM had no detection capability against a supernatural operation conducted inside a natural mass-casualty event. The faction's victims are part of the official smog toll. They cannot be separated from it.

The CIA spent twenty years conducting illegal psychological research on unwitting subjects. Some of those subjects had genuine encounters with Restless Spirit entities during the experimental sessions. The CIA was inadvertently documenting supernatural psychological mechanics. The OVM spent twenty years making sure they never knew what they had found.

Nine experienced hikers died on Kholat Syakhl on the night of 1 February 1959. The Soviet investigation concluded: death by unknown compelling force. The OVM investigation concluded: they walked into an active territorial confrontation between two supernatural entity lineages that had nothing to do with them.

A Báthory-lineage coven attempted to use Reactor 4 at Chernobyl as a supernatural nexus amplifier. The ritual's interaction with the reactor's disabled safety systems contributed to the explosion. The OVM did not know it was happening until three days after. The exclusion zone remains supernaturally contaminated. It will for decades.
