The Velebit mountain range in Croatia is particularly associated with a benevolent Vila variant — the Velebitska Vila — who is considered a protector rather than a threat, suggesting this is one of the lowest-corruption manifestations of the lineage.
All Vila variants share certain characteristics: they appear as eternally young women of striking beauty, dressed in white, with eyes described as flashing like lightning during emotional arousal.
